Reuse Reporting

In accordance with the implementing decision (EU) 2021/19, Member States are obliged to report data on reuse and submit a quality check report concerning the implementation of Article 9(4) of Directive 2008/98/EC (following the format laid down in the Annex of the decision). According to (EU) 2021/19, Member States shall report reuse data every following year.

From 2023 Member States should report data on reuse to the European Environment Agency (EEA) according to the implementing decision (EU) 2021/19.

Reportnet 3.0 (the European Environment Agency's digital infrastructure for data collection) will be used for the reporting. Reportnet 3.0 is the next generation platform for reporting environmental data to the EEA and also host several reporting tasks for the European Commission. Reportnet 3.0 is a centralised e-Reporting platform, aiming at simplifying and streamlining the data flow steps across all environmental domains. The system acts as a one-stop-shop for all involved stakeholders, and can be accessed here.

Instruction for reporting

The EEA, supported by the ETC/CE, has developed a manual for reporting to assist Member States in reporting activity. The manual can be consulted here
