		<LegalStatus>The Danish Coastal Authority (DCA) is a department of the Danish Ministry of Transport. DCA is responsible for costal defence structures along certain areas of the west coast of the peninsula of Jutland. Furthermore DCA administrates Act No. 267 of 11 march 2009 of costal protection according to which any private or public coastal defence structure along the coasts of Denmark is processed.

DCA is according to executive order no. 121 of 2 February 2010 the Competent Authority regarding flood risks from inlets and the sea. This order sets up a framework for the assessment and management of flood risks from inlets and the sea. The order refers to the water districts used regarding the Water Framework Directive.
